Use-What-You-Have Fall Table Setting…For Him

Hello Lovelies, I’m back as promised to reveal my Fall table setting for Him. Since I don’t have a dining room in my tiny apartment, Reginald gets to be hands-on with his decor. Plus, he gets to enjoy all of my creativity at his place. I have never once heard him complain about me coming to help him decorate his home. Imagine that!

Reginald had several items on hand that I could use for the table setting. I knew that the copper plates, animal print glasses, and diamond-patterned placemat would work well together. However, we needed the perfect budget-friendly salad plate to pull the look together, since the budget was super tight!

We found the perfect salad plate at Dollar Tree, and I drew some much-needed inspiration from our inexpensive find.

The big green pumpkins came from Dollar Tree.

I wasn’t sure about the centerpiece but I knew I wanted it to be low and mimic the colors in the salad plates. I headed to Hobby Lobby to see what I could find. I purchased a berry swag in off white, two white pumpkins, two pumpkin picks, velvet mini pumpkins in green, and three green sunflowers. The rest of the flowers were repurposed.

Now, I had everything I needed for the table.

While Reginald was out of town, I crept in and went to work. I placed the swag on the table in an S pattern and stabilized it by sticking the steam in a notch. The rest of the swag was held down with heavy-duty tape.

The centerpiece took about 45 minutes to create. By the way, I didn’t glue anything down.

I added flowers/picks one variety at a time. I placed each stem where I thought best. Once all the flowers were used I stepped back to see if I needed to make any changes.

I love the diamond patterned placemats and the paisley napkins. I think they work quite well together. The gold flatware and the animal print glasses are the icing on the cake. SWEET!

The salad plates had a hint of green. I capitalized on it by adding lots of green in the center-piece.

I know, I know, the placemat on the lower right isn’t perfect, I’ll do better next time, But I wanted you to see the centerpiece from this perspective.

I have a riddle. What goes unnoticed in a picture when you are laser-focused on getting a good shot? Jeopardy music is playing. The answer to the question is…toes! Wide-eyed emoji!

When Reginald returned home he was thrilled. He loved it. He couldn’t wait to show the table off to his friends/coworkers.
